Then you find out that it is really hard to get through to a customer service representative, especially out of normal office hours, which is the only time I am available.

Traveling for the first time with my sweetheart, a disabled vet, to see our grands, I wanted everything to be special. I saw the deal in the AARP news, & as I consider Avis the Cadillac of rental companies, I signed up for a DC rental, and a Midway, Chi Avis rental through you. Avis hit it out of the park in DC, the car was a dream. The Avis car at Chicago, Midway was beyond horrible: a VW bug. I told them it was inappropriate; we’re old; was this really the promised upgrade? They literally said this was it, there was no other option. We drove to Naperville, Ill. My sweetheart was in pain; couldn’t fit; brakes were bad; then at motel, we couldn’t open the trunk; roadside found the magic formula, which didn’t work at all on our return to Midway, which made a pileup there. Our dreams of sharing experiences with our Grands, Kids, were crushed; there is literally no room in the back seat. I had to do all the driving, and altho a shrimp, could hardly fit; and was scared skinny every time. Why not return it; the craziness around Midway gave me nightmares the night before we had to return it. Action:

1. be sure no one else rents that car of our ages; 2. Get brakes repaired 3. Give us a complete refund on the Midway rental; no crap on this; Avis made a 7 day nightmare out of a longed for and expensive trip. otherwise consequences; a campaign here and in the Fl. Villages that no one use ARRP Avis/Budget, and in every club and social group we belong to; i.e. church (one of the biggest in its denomination), contac local TV action reporters, and agree to brother in lawyer to sue. Of course we will allow you time; until Aug. 15th to secure our refund.
