I own a 2004 BMW X-5 SUV. On july 22, 2018 my car was parked in the Garage of my house. At 7:30 AM a family member took the car out of the garage and as he pulled out in the driveway he saw some smoke coming from under the hood. He shut down the engine, took the key out of the ignition and left in another car to conduct some business. Five minutes later the car was on full fire and fire also jumped to my house and damaged a significant portion of the front of my house. The car is a total loss and the costs to repair the house are significant.
My car has been regularly serviced by a BMW certified mechanic in Orange, CA and did not have any problems of overheating. It was in excellent shape with only about 101,000 miles. The fire I feel was due to some short circuit under the hood.
I feel that in this case BMW should bear responsibility towards some of the damages.

My complaint: I had an issue with my last order, and they make it really difficult to get through to a real live person on their customer service phone number.
They need to put some more resources in to their customer service department. My problem was easy to fix but its too hard and takes too long to get though on the customer support phone number.
